embracing metallic

This year is set to shine with the resurgence of metals, particularly cool silver tones and sleek chrome finishes. Based on Pinterest’s Pinterest Predicts: 2024 Trend Forecast, Hot Metals will make their way into the mainstream, with consumers (largely Gen Z and Millennial), trading in their neutrals for something bolder with an edge.
Architectural Digest also shared the metal comeback as part of their 5 Interior Design Trends That Will Define 2024, stating, “It’s back to the essential elements (literally) for home decor trends in 2024: chrome, steel, and aluminum are suddenly everywhere.” David Michon, author of the domestic interiors newsletter, For Scale, tells Arch Digest that metals “amplify whatever vibe a room is already giving.”

If one of your new year’s resolutions is to kick things off with a tranquil transition for your home’s appearance, this trend is for you. Immerse your space in the calming embrace of earthy tones, such as soothing shades of green and brown–which are sure to make waves in the coming months.
According to Real Simple’s 10 Design Trends You Should Try in 2024, interior designer Auderey Scheck states, “Designers and homeowners are gravitating toward warmer hues in an effort to infuse character into their environment. In particular, we’re seeing an upward trend in an earth-toned color palette of muddy green, burgundy, creamy whites, and shades of brown.”
New York designer Neal Beckstedt also told Elle Decor, “Beige and brown are on an upswing along with very muddy colors that have an 18th-century calmness to them—think earthy colors with less vibrancy and more richness.”
The departure from stark white extends beyond one piece of furniture or window shade color and can be infused through deep paint colors mixed with a neutral window shade or vice versa. Our extensive fabric color offerings provide an array of choices, allowing you to bring the restful ambiance of nature-inspired hues indoors.

the craft of layering

Layered interiors is another popular preference that Real Simple shared as part of their top 10 design trends–and is one we’ve been mastering for decades. Get creative with shades, drapes and valances, turning your windows into a canvas for thoughtful design. The craft of layering transcends beyond visual appeal, evolving into an art form with depth and sophistication. Play with textures, patterns and colors to curate a living space that not only exudes style, but reflects your design personality.
